February 2002BROWNSEA CUB PACK - Hazel Richardson, Cub Scout Leader During January the themes at our weekly meetings have been quite varied. We spent time practising the "Beetle" game to prepare the Cubs for the Group’s Beetle Drive evening and we also delivered Jumble Sale notices in local roads. We learned about major star constellations and also looked at and tried various signalling methods (Morse, semaphore) and secret codes, some using invisible ink. The highlight of the month was our visit to The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre. We travelled by train to Waterloo and walked over Waterloo Bridge to the theatre. The performance was technically brilliant and entertaining and the Cubs thoroughly enjoyed the visit and were well behaved during the whole trip. Thank you one and all. Dates for your diary: |
